Triathlon North Africa is a race like no other. Don't let the "extreme" in its name scare you, the organizers do their absolute best to set you up for success. They take care of everything for you - from visas, finding best flights to and from Algiers, booking seats on the connector flights to the Sahara, arranging transports and hotel, and so much more. Really, if you are looking for a race of your lifetime, don't hesitate and sign up. Because all you have to do is train, pack, and show up.

Triathlon North Africa is definitely more than just a race. I can say that it is an experience worth every spent money. You have the opportunity to spend 5 days in the Sahara desert and to be able to complete a very demanding and extreme triathlon. During the race between the palms and dunes, you have the opportunity to feel that you are doing something unreal.

Q: Air and water temperature during the race?
The Sahara triathlon is one of the most extreme triathlon races in the world. What makes it extreme are not just the long distances, but also the race conditions in remote areas, running in the deep sand, strong headwinds in addition to large temperature fluctuations.
Morning Temperature (06:00 am - 09:00 am): 4°C 8°C
Swimming part: the water temperature is expected to be between 12°C to 18°C .
Cycling part: An open landscape with minimal shade is a playground for strong headwinds, so plan ahead and dress appropriately. The temperature will be around 15°C to 23°C
Running part: You made it T2 and you are finally starting to feel some of the infamous Sahara sun. Well done! You will start to feel warmer and warmer as the temperature rises to 27 C , which can feel like 32 C . We recommend that, despite these balmy temperatures, you do not forget to grab an extra layer with you as you set off from T2. As the sun sets, the temperature will drop sharply and can sink to as low as 10 degrees within the first 30 minutes after sunset.
